Another new/old bourbon is coming to Louisville.

Peerless Distilling, owned by Corky Taylor and his son, Carson, plans to open a distillery at 10th and Main streets as part of the Whiskey Row revival, according to a news release from the city.

Peerless will operate its own bottling line and a continuous copper still, handmade by Vendome Copper and Brass in Louisville. The distillery is scheduled to open by March 2014, with plans bottle and sell a “moonshine” product initially. Later plans are to develop a four-year-old Peerless bourbon and a premium, small-batch bourbon to be branded “Henry Kraver.”

Kraver, who was the great-grandfather of retired Sarasota, Fla., businessman Corky Taylor, owned the original Peerless Distilling (formerly Worsham Distilling) in Henderson. That distillery closed after Kraver died in 1938, according to the news release.

The distillery will be open to the public.
